Interactive Matchday Programme & Monthly Magazine
We utilise the rich volume of media currently created from clubs and digitally overlay 4-6 videos per home match into the Official Matchday Programmes. This methodology could also be incorporated into the monthly publication of any Magazine. This would provide fans with the ability to interact with and unlock select videos from your printed materials helping add further lifespan of the print, enjoyment from a fan regard and a purposeful way to repatriate any club media.
Clubs can turn select items of merchandise and turn these interactive. Being able to have a poster of player that can also be unlocked using an AR app as an example would pave the way for monthly interviews , best skills in training and very quickly you have a scenario in merchandise where traditionally a poster would have sold for a figure, can be sold for a higher figure. This is not limited to just posters.
Being able to run or orchestrate interactive content alongside any marketing campaigns or public releases throughout the course of any given year/season could provide the marketing team with a clever tool in the form of AR.
There is a plethora of different methods and techniques where marketing and AR marry – interactive business cards, brochures, wall & floor stickers, outbound mail (season ticket renewals), stakeholder & corporate engagement, interactive corporate hospitality menus – the list is truly endless and can provide a creative platform for marketing departments to consider.
Stadium handouts, Seat displays, Stadium Stickers and Matchday Colouring-in experiences are some of the options that would become available if powering an AR App. Having the fans engage on the day with the printed materials and afford them the ability to take these experiences home and re-experience using a free AR app would be an opportunity. These scenarios would extend the matchday experience far beyond the time spent with the club on matchday and would importantly represent value for money to your loyal fanbase.
With each external printed advertisement that the club have in circulation, a call to action could be introduced for the end user to Download & point the AR App at the advert – from here you could be allowing a viewer to see an item of merchandise come to life in 3D, with more product information being able to be displayed than the traditional area of your printed advert. The user could then click on a buy now option, this could be for tickets, merchandise or other associated club advertising.
